Your CTR
This is a measure of the portion of your people who click on the link to a page of yours after they see it on a search engine. If 100 people searching for a given keyword saw your page as one of the results on Google, and 20 of them clicked on that page, then that would make your click-through rate (CTR) at 20 percent.
CTR is a good way of telling whether or not you’re catching your users’ attention. If it’s low, it might mean you have to work on your meta descriptions or title tags. It could also be related to your page ranking since pages ranked lower on the search engine generally have lower CTRs.
Your Organic Traffic
This is one of the most important metrics you will ever use to check the performance of your SEO. You’re looking at how many visitors are coming to your site organically from the search engines. It gives you a feel for the direct impact you are having with your SEO as compared to your total traffic. What you want to do with SEO is to make yourself more visible in search engine results pages (SERPs) whenever users search for industry-specific keywords. If you’re doing everything right, then your organic traffic should go up as a result.
Your Bounce Rate
We call it a bounce when a user comes to a page of yours and then leaves before visiting any other pages. The total percentage of visitors to your page that does this is referred to as your bounce rate.
The bounce rate will tell you whether users are getting what they expected when they come across your content. If most of them are leaving as soon as they arrive, then your page isn’t giving them what they were looking for in the first place.
Your Keyword Ranking
This is probably the most popular SEO metric out there. The whole point of SEO, it can be argued, is to improve your SEO rankings for certain keywords. You need to know which keywords your site is ranked for and how well it does for each of those keywords.
Your Domain Authority
This is how highly Google views your site. You can get a feel for this by checking the number of links your site has earned over the years. Fortunately, there are plenty of tools out there that help you do this. The more backlinks your site has, the more authority is afforded to it in the eyes of Google.
